By using Haul, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Haul is a grocery price comparison tool. We collect and display prices from publicly available flyers, store websites, and user-submitted receipts to help you find the cheapest place to buy your groceries. Haul is a planning aid, not a retailer, and we don't sell groceries or process grocery purchases ourselves.
You can use Haul's core features (price search, grocery lists, receipt scanning) without creating an account — we identify your device anonymously by default. Creating an account with an email and password is optional and lets your list and rewards history follow you across devices. You must be 13 or older to create an account.
If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away at tryhaul.ca@gmail.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
You may stop using Haul at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to an account if we reasonably believe these terms have been violated (for example, submitting fraudulent price data or abusing the service). See our Privacy Policy for how to request deletion of your account and associated data.
We do our best to keep prices accurate and up to date, but prices change frequently and we cannot guarantee that the price shown will match the price in-store. Always verify prices at checkout. Haul is a planning tool, not a price guarantee.
If you submit receipt scans or corrections, you grant Haul a license to use that data (item names, prices, store names) to improve price accuracy for all users. Do not upload receipts containing personal information beyond what's printed on a standard grocery receipt.
The Haul name, app, design, and the software behind our price-matching and route-optimization features are owned by us and may not be copied, reverse-engineered, or reproduced without permission. Aggregated, de-identified pricing data we publish or license (as described in our Privacy Policy) remains our property; individual price facts submitted by the community are used under the license described above, and don't create any ownership claim over Haul itself.
Stars are earned by contributing new price data. On the website, stars can be redeemed for rewards, which are subject to availability and may be changed or discontinued at any time. Rewards aren't offered in the Haul iOS app. Providing an email address for reward redemption is voluntary and used solely to deliver that reward.
Haul is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any losses resulting from reliance on price information, store hours, locations, or routes shown in the app.
We may update these terms or the app's features at any time. Continued use of Haul after changes means you accept the updated terms.
