Why Haul exists

Built by people tired of overpaying too.

Grocery prices in Canada haven't just gone up — they've gone up differently at every store, every week, in ways no one has time to track by hand. Haul tracks them for you.

Our mission

Help Canadians stop overpaying for groceries.

Haul checks real prices across 30+ stores near you and builds the cheapest way to buy everything on your list — automatically, every time you shop.

Grocery costs haven't just gone up. They've gone up unevenly — different sales, different stores, different weeks. Closing that gap between what you could pay and what you do pay is the whole job.

Why we built this

It started with a notepad and way too many browser tabs.

Before Haul, "finding the best deal" meant flipping through five different flyer apps, squinting at fine print, and trying to remember which store had cheap chicken this week versus last week. It wasn't sustainable, and it wasn't just us — everyone we knew was doing some version of the same thing by hand.

So we built the tool we wished existed: something that checks every store automatically and just tells you where to go. What started as a script for our own shopping trips turned into Haul.

What we believe

A few things we won't compromise on.

These aren't marketing lines — they're the rules we build every feature against.

Real prices, plainly shown
Prices come from actual store data, not estimates or stale flyers. If we're not confident it's accurate, we don't show it as the best price.
Savings come first
Every feature is judged by one question: does this help you spend less on your next shop? If it doesn't move that number, it doesn't ship.
No account required
Open Haul and start comparing prices — no sign-up, no password, no email required. Your list lives on your device, not tied to your identity.
Built for shoppers, not chains
We're not affiliated with any grocery retailer. We compare them all equally, so the only thing we're optimizing for is your total at checkout.
Where we're headed

Starting in Saskatoon. Not stopping there.

Haul started as a way to compare prices in one city. It's since grown to cover dozens of communities across Canada, province by province, and we're adding more stores and cities as fast as we can verify the data is right. If Haul isn't fully covering your area yet, that's next on the list — not a reason we'll ignore it.

See what you're overpaying for.

Free to use, no signup, takes about 30 seconds.
